During the last few months, intense questions of Harmony have kept coming up, including questions of disharmony, more often than not disguised behind smiley faces and pleasant words.  All very normal and easy to live with, unless working in the realms of energy and spiritual development, where everything is magnified by Light.

So what does Harmony mean?  Maybe the most simple definition is ‘being in tune’.  This would ideally relate to all levels of our being and then also to the Whole.  Something that is not really possible, because many of us express different tunes, change our tunes when moving forward, (not always in an easy manner) and have to deal at times with issues and people that may be out of tune in the way we perceive them.  It is of course perfectly OK not to be ‘in tune’ with everyone as long as one can accept a different viewpoint and agree to differences when these do not breach ethics or other responsibilities. One of the laws of the Universe is that like attracts like, which is one of the reasons that when we move forward on our Light journey, old friends often disappear and new friends come into our life.  Ideally this should happen without upheaval, but more often than not it is difficult and we may get hurt or unfortunately hurt others.  Change is not always easy and many of us resist it or do not change until pushed.  During these changes it may be impossible to be in Harmony for a while.

Harmony also signifies the awareness that we are all one, which is Love in the unconditional form.  Easy to do one may think when all is going well but more taxing when faced with challenges in both the inner and the outer world.  Being in Harmony on the most profound level means being enlightened and once we reach this state, it is not really necessary to come back down here, since we will then have graduated to the next level.  In the meantime, it is worthwhile to have a closer look at how to achieve this state of being.

Living in Harmony with oneself includes acting with compassion, integrity, honesty, responsibility and probably all of the qualities that are represented on the Angel Cards.  Equally to address one’s shadow qualities that are represented on the Pandora Cards.  No wonder we need so many life times to achieve this!  Having to upset the applecart, when looking the other way would be easier, is just one example of right action.  The second option would, of course, always come back to haunt those who are on the path since we cannot really hide anything in Light.

Please bear in mind that it is, of course OK to make mistakes as long as we are in the awareness that we are accountable for our actions and not try to cover up our slip-ups since that is something that may cause much harm.  Spiritual law always redresses the balance sooner or later, which is just as well, since it is impossible for us to always perceive the bigger picture.  This law of cause and effect is not a punishment or judgement, it is just love in action from the point of the highest Light.  Without it we could not evolve.

So how do we know where we are at regarding Harmony?  The answer is less complicated than one may think, provided one has the courage to look at oneself in an honest manner.  The world is our mirror and all of us, without exception, project our shadows and our Light on to everyone else.  As long as we are willing to take responsibility for what we create, for our own being and life, and are willing to look into that mirror, we are well on the way to self-knowledge, which ultimately leads to Harmony in the true sense of the word.

Maybe the best way to perceive the world and everyone in it, is that it is in the process of reaching Harmony and that whatever or whoever we perceive to be out of Harmony is but a reflection.  If we accept that we are fully responsible for what we think, say and do and then act to the best of our abilities, in Light and Truth, we are well on the way towards Harmony!

Good Luck!
